Starring Wayne Forester and Liz Morgan, and directed by Jamie Anderson, let The Spectrum Files take you back to 1967, the original broadcast year of Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons.

Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons tells the story of the Mysterons from Mars' attempts to take over planet Earth, using their powers of retro-metabolism, possessing the power to recreate an exact likeness of an object or person. The only people able to stop them are the organisation Spectrum, and one man fate has made indestructible - Captain Scarlet.

Originally brought to our television screens by Gerry Anderson with his pioneering technique of Supermarionation, continuing his legacy at Big Finish is his son Jamie Anderson. The Spectrum Files, written by 'John Theydon' (pseudonym of writer John William Jennison) tell three stories from the Spectrum universe, and were originally released in 1967, the same year as the TV series!

Check out the cover of Spectrum File: One - each story covers a very different threat from the Mysterons, trying to take over Planet Earth!

A violent thunderstorm floods London. Florida is laid waste by hurricanes. Somehow the Mysterons are controlling the world’s weather, and only Spectrum can stop the devastation.

Captains Scarlet and Blue head into space aboard Fireball XL19 to destroy a weather-control satellite that has been taken over by the Mysterons – only to discover that the real cause of the destruction is much closer to home.

As Scarlet and Rhapsody Angel confront the mastermind behind the latest Mysteron attacks they discover the true scope of his plan, and if they cannot stop him then the Earth faces certain climatic catastrophe.

These releases feature the vocal talents of Wayne Forester and Liz Morgan, who are unforgettable parts of the world of Captain Scarlet. Liz was the original voice of Destiny and Rhapsody Angel, and Wayne was the voice of Captain Scarlet in Gerry Anderson's New Captain Scarlet, which was released in 2005 and was the last show produced by Gerry Anderson.

The Spectrum Files are currently available at £14.99 on download or £16.99 on CD each, or you can save and get them as a bundle, of £30 on download or £35 on CD for Files 1-3!

And don't forget to check out the 50th Anniversary box set of Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons, also coming in September!
