For The Love Of StoriesBig Finish produce fantastic full-cast audio dramas for CD and download.

Four new stories continue the work of Department 7, the top secret organisation investigating the paranormal. It’s been 30 years since Tom Crane left the department, and Anne Reynolds (played by Louise Jameson) now continues the work with Adam Crane (played by John Dorney), Tom Crane’s son. But not everything is right with Adam, and the Department’s past is coming back to haunt them…

Originally produced by BBC Scotland and aired on BBC One, The Omega Factor scared viewers in 1979 and attracted criticism from famed moralist Mary Whitehouse for its sheer levels of terror. Big Finish is carrying on the adventures almost 30 years after its original broadcast, reviving the series and continuing the story.

†¨†¨Series Three consists of four new tales of horror and the supernatural, written by returning Omega Factor writers Roy Gill and Phil Mulryne. Louise Jameson returns to writing her second Omega Factor adventure and Natasha Gerson, daughter of The Omega Factor creator Jack Gerson, writes her first Omega Factor tale.

The four stories in Series Three are:†¨

Under Glass by Roy Gill

Let Us Play by Natasha Gerson

Phantom Pregnancy by Louise Jameson

Drawn to the Dark by Phil Mulryne

Producer David Richardson let us know what’s in store: “My favourite thing about this series is that it gives us an opportunity to really try and terrify people, and there are chills galore in Series Three. I dare people to listen to this with the lights off…”

Plus, we can reveal the full cast for these chilling tales of horror. Louise Jameson (Dr Anne Reynolds), John Dorney (Adam Dean), Natasha Gerson (Morag) and Alan Cox (James Doyle) are joined by Lucy Goldie as Claire McTeal, Roberta Taylor as Olivia Kirkland, Leighton Pugh as John Gardener, Orion Ben as Adhara Rahul, Jamie Newall as Professor Peter Shand, Miranda Keeling as Lucy Williams, Gunnar Cauthery as Edward Milton, Elizabeth Payne as Grace Roberts and Ben Porter as Professor Stephen Wright.

Make sure you tune into this scary new set available from www.bigfinish.com in March 2018 at £25 on CD or £20 on download.

If you’ve never heard The Omega Factor and the work of Department Seven, try an extract of From Beyond by Matt Fitton (episode one in the first volume), for free here.

Dr Anne Reynolds finds her life's work under threat as Department 7 faces review. Is there really any place for paranormal investigation in government? Help arrives from an unlikely source, as a young man comes to Edinburgh looking for answers. Adam Dean holds a connection to Anne's past, which will open the doors of perception and take them down a new and disturbing path...

And for Omega Factor fans who can’t wait until March 2018, make sure you pre-order a copy of Spider’s Web by Iain McLaughlin. Spider’s Web is Big Finish's first Omega Factor novel, set during the time of the cult TV show with Tom Crane and Dr Anne Reynolds investigating a series of unsettling events on behalf of – or sometimes despite – Department 7. This new novel, out in February 2018, is available as a hardback for £16.99, e-book at £12.99 or on audio at £9.99 (narrator to be confirmed).
