For The Love Of StoriesBig Finish produce fantastic full-cast audio dramas for CD and download.

In 2017, Big Finish celebrates the work of one of the fathers of Science Fiction - Herbert George Wells - with full-cast adaptations of six of his works:

John Hurt and Blake Ritson star in January's The Invisible Man, adapted by Jonathan Barnes:

In the midst of a snowstorm, a stranger arrives in an English country inn, seeking solitude. Soon, inexplicable goings-on at the Coach and Horses bring fear to the village.

Two very different men – the scholarly Dr Kemp and gentleman-of-the-road Thomas Marvel – are drawn into terrible events beyond their understanding.

A man named Griffin has defied the laws of nature, and is about to embark on a reign of terror. For he is... The Invisible Man.

March sees the release of The First Men in the Moon, also adapted by Jonathan Barnes and starring Nigel Planer and Gethin Anthony:

Mr Bedford has an extraordinary tale to tell. A tale of discovery and adventure, of bravery and sacrifice, and of strange creatures beyond our world.

His story begins with a chance meeting in the English countryside. Professor Cornelius Cavor is a scientist, a visionary, and a dreamer – but in Mr Bedford, he finds the practical partner who can help him realise his ambition.

The two are thrown together on an impossible journey, and together, Cavor and Bedford are destined to become… The First Men in the Moon.

May's release is The Shape of Things to Come, adapted by Guy Adams and starring Nicola Walker and Sam Troughton:

Ronald Pickup and John Hefferman star in Ken Bentley's adaptation of The Island of Dr Moreau in July, followed by Marc Platt's script for The Time Machine in September, and ending with Nicholas Briggs's adaptation of The War of the Worlds - The Martian Invasion of Earth - in November.

Each release is £12.99 on Download and £14.99 for a CD version which unlocks instant digital access (especially useful if you're using the free Big Finish download/playback app on Android or iOS devices).

For the next two days, all six titles can be bought in an HG Wells 2017 bundle at the bargain prices of £60 on Download, and £72 on CD. This offer price holds until the end of January 3rd (UK time), when they go up to the normal bundle prices of £66 and £78 respectively.
