We kicked the week off on Monday with a salute to The Prisoner, which celebrated the 50th anniversary of filming beginning on what was to become one of the most regarded cult TV shows of all time...

It's been Torchwood week at Big Finish, as we revealed a number of new titles. Monday announced October's The Torchwood Archive, a story celebrating 10 years of the much-loved Doctor Who spin-off.

Wednesday extended the number of Torchwood single-disc releases to 18, with six new stories coming from March next year, with subscriptions available now.

Thursday added a new title to the collection, as Torchwood One - Before The Fall starring Tracy-Ann Oberman and Gareth David-Lloyd as Yvonne Hartman and Ianto Jones was confirmed for a January release.

And on Saturday, we confirmed that John Barrowman's back, for The Lives of Captain Jack, an epic four-story boxed set coming in June next year, reuniting Captain Jack with Jackie Tyler (Camile Codouri) and Midshipman Alonso Frame (Russell Tovey) as well as encountering The Stranger (Alexander Vlahos).

Podcasts this week saw Nicholas Briggs back on dry land with Benji Clifford and an interview with composer Blair Mowat, while on Friday Toby Hadoke added a new Who's Round title as he spoke to an influential figure in the closing years of the classic Doctor Who series...
