Peter Purves

Peter Purves played the heroic space pilot Steven Taylor, a companion to the First Doctor, in Doctor Who from 1965 to 66. He later became known and loved by a generation as one of the definitive Blue Peter hosts, then continued his career as a TV presenter with series including Stopwatch and Kick Start, and with his coverage of dog shows such as Crufts. He first reprised the role of Steven on audio for Big Finish Productions in 2007, in The Companion Chronicles: Mother Russia.
