Sir Derek Jacobi said: “I suppose I’m at an age now where I’m very much into the fifth act – the interval is long over – and so why not reminisce a bit? Life is very different, [my] career is very different now, and it’d be nice to retread all those paths.”
Interviewer and producer Scott Handcock added: “It’s no secret that I love working with Sir Derek on the War Master series, and we’ve developed a bit of a rapport over that range, so when he asked if there might be anything else coming up, I couldn’t resist the idea of suggesting he join us for a Big Finish in Conversation.
“And so, back in May, we gathered in a distanced London studio to talk about his incredible life and career. We chatted everything from childhood to university, work to love, and so much more. It’s a joy to listen to.”
