Alex Kingston

Alex Kingston rose to prominence for her regular role in American medical drama ER and her BAFTA-nominated performance in ITV miniseries The Fortunes and Misfortunes of Moll Flanders. In 2008, she made her Doctor Who debut in the episode Silence in the Library, as Professor River Song. This mysterious character was the Doctor’s future wife, as well as an assassin grown to kill him, though viewers wouldn’t discover this until many episodes later! Kingston has reprised the fan-favourite character in her own Big Finish audio series, which began in 2015.
