This month, in Vortex:

Doctor Who - The Third Doctor Adventures Tim Treloar plays the Doctor, with Katy Manning as Jo Jones in the next box set of adventures, comprising two very different stories: a historical adventure in which they meet famous Russian playright Anton Chekhov, and a sci-fi adventure featuring planetary destruction - and Daleks! The second story was made in collaboration with students from Bristol Old Vic Drama School. Doctor Who - The Third Doctor Adventures: The Planet Killers will be released on CD and download to own in October 2026.

Doctor Who - The Twelfth Doctor Adventures Jon Culshaw plays the Doctor, with his new companion, the travelling bard Ash Wilton, played by Gwithian Evans. The adventures, which began releasing weekly in July, continue in August with Wings of Steel, Duty of Care and finally The Second Death of the Daleks. Initially purchasable as a bundle, the series will become available as a complete downloadable boxset when all the individual episodes have been released. Doctor Who - The Twelfth Doctor Adventures: Run Fast, Be Kind concludes in August 2026.

Doctor Who - The Sixth Doctor Adventures Colin Baker is the Doctor, with Nicola Bryant as Peri and Mark Strickson as Vislor Turlough, in three new adventures for this TARDIS team, concluding with a return to Trion for Turlough.  Once a traitor, always a traitor? Doctor Who - The Sixth Doctor Adventures: Reunion is released on CD and download to own in August 2026.

Doctor Who - The Eleventh Doctor Adventures Miles Taylor plays the Doctor, with Jasmine Bayes as his new companion, Eleanor Fong. The new boxset of adventures comprises a two-part story featuring the Judoon, then a return to Lake Silencio, the place of the Doctor's 'death in the TV episodes The Impossible Astronaut / Day of the Moon.Doctor Who - The Eleventh Doctor Adventures: Hidden in Plain Sight is released on download to own in August 2026.

Doctor Who - The Ninth Doctor Adventures Christopher Eccleston is the Doctor, with Billie Piper as Rose Tyler, in the next release in this series. The Doctor and Rose swap the Powell Estate for all of time and space, as they travel across the cosmos and into the far-flung future. Doctor Who - The Ninth Doctor Adventures: Dark Tides is released on CD and download to own in August 2026.

Doctor Who - The Second Doctor Adventures Michael Troughton plays Doctor, with Frazer Hines as Jamie, Wendy Padbury as Zoe and Emma Noakes as Raven. To escape the Time Lords' justice - or lack of it - they jump to planet Earth, in 1963. But this is not the Earth as the Doctor knew it. This is the world as it would have been if he had never landed there at all. An Earth free of his influence, in which old friends are strangely changed... Doctor Who - The Second Doctor Adventures: The Haunted Windmill is released on CD and download to own in Augusst 2026.

Turpin  Dónal Finn stars as Richard Turpin, with Jemima Rooper as Betty in the second box set of five episodes, written by award-winning screenwriters Mat Braddy and Darren Rapier. The adventures continue as Turpin evades the law, finding that the life of excess and risk-taking is a very dangerous path. Turpin Volume 02: Damned and Delivered will be released on download to own in November 2026.

Dark Shadows Cast members from the original TV series are reunited in a special release to mark the 60th Anniversary of Dark Shadows. The set of two full-cast audio dramas, Return to Collinwood and Vengeance at Collinwood is released in July 2026. This season finale ties up loose threads from the previous three stories. Doctor Who - Rutans vs Sontarans: Peace at Last is released on CD and download to own in July 2026.
