The deadline for submitting your Fifth Doctor and Nyssa story pitches has now passed. We're astonished, delighted and not a little bit scared to announce that we've received over 1,200 pitches – twice as many as our wildest predictions. The huge effort made by so many is genuinely appreciated.
Doctor Who script editor Alan Barnes is working flat out to read each and every one of the 1,200. However, the sheer volume of submissions means that it's going to take him rather longer than expected to work through the electronic pile.
Obviously, it simply isn't going to be possible for us to give any personalised feedback on individual pitches – we'd have to stop all other work for months on end! – but we can assure you that all of your pitches will receive our fullest consideration.
