On his Doctor meeting Missy for the first time, Sylvester McCoy said: “I just love the script by Rochana Patel. Missy’s got such wonderful lines and it’s all so wonderfully witty. And I’m kind of the straight man to her, which is interesting.” 

Writer Rochana Patel added: “It’s a clash of titans! Honestly, as a writer, you could lock those two characters in an empty room and you would still have no shortage of material!”
