Behind the scenes of Young Bond
The action-packed audio adventure Young Bond: SilverFin will arrive later this month, starring Isaac Rouse as the schoolboy destined to become a superspy, alongside a star-studded guest cast.
To commemorate the release, Big Finish Productions and Ian Fleming Publications Ltd have produced a collectible Young Bond bookazine, which offers in-depth and exclusive insight into the creation of the full-cast audio drama.
Across more than 50 pages, the bookazine explores the origins of the Young Bond novel series, the process of adapting SilverFin for audio, how the cast was assembled, the creation of the musical score, and more. Interviewees include writer-director Barnaby Edwards, composer Joe Kraemer, and members of the cast.
The bookazine also features high-quality prints of various imagery related to the production, including character concept art, behind-the-scenes snaps from the studio, and the photoshoot of Isaac Rouse in character at Eton College.
Jason Haigh-Ellery, chairman of Big Finish Productions, said: “James Bond is one of the greatest entertainment icons of all time, and Young Bond gives us the chance to explore the legend from a completely fresh perspective.
“To celebrate the new Young Bond audio drama series, we wanted to create something special – a bookazine packed with exclusive content, fascinating behind the scenes insights, and imagery from the Eton photo shoot as well as the recording studio. This isn't just a magazine, it’s a collector's edition, created by Bond fans for Bond fans, and something we hope will take pride of place in every 007 collection.”
The bookazine has been assembled by designer Mark Plastow, who said: “The first thing I did graphically for the Young Bond releases was the silhouette of Bond jumping with the target. It proved to be popular, so we took the image and ran with it! The bookazine is a great, informative read and it’s lovely that a lot of the brilliant photography from the recordings gets to be seen.”
The Young Bond collector’s edition bookazine is now available to pre-order for just £9.99 exclusively here, and will be released on 29 October 2026, on the same day as the audio drama Young Bond: SilverFin.
