As Rassilon tries to control the narrative of the Time War at home, the Cardinals fight to prove their loyalty. Out amid the conflict, the Resistance struggles to make a difference, and Gallifrey’s most faithful warriors face the ultimate challenge.

3.1 Propaganda by Georgia Cook
With unrest brewing in Low Town, Rassilon demands the immediate location and destruction of a rogue broadcast mocking his name.

With Rasmus, the General and Cresta trapped in the Drylands, and riots bubbling on the streets, Ollistra attempts to steer a course to cement her rule over the War Room.

3.2 Resistance by Katharine Armitage
Eris is trying to hold a crumbling Resistance together; Ollistra is trying to tear it apart. Both have audacious plans to ensure the victory of their side and everyone else has to choose where their loyalties truly lie.

3.3 Hope by Fio Trethewey
Leela has a job to do, and she cannot do it alone, and so she enlists the most unlikely of allies for the task. Time is not on her side, and she must succeed, or else all of them are doomed.

3.4 Eye for an Eye by Matt Fitton
Cardinal Ollistra must serve the will of Rassilon and see the Resistance destroyed. But the Resistance is already falling apart.

With Leela and Rasmus missing, the General and Veklin are given a mission that neither relish. Loyalties will be tested, and vengeance will be had.

Producer Heather Challands said: "It is such a thrill to be able to return to the War Room. In the early stages of the Time War, morality is still all to play for and the future of Gallifrey is far from certain. In these four episodes, we have a few surprises up our sleeves as every player seems to make their move, and some demand a high price to be paid.

"What can I promise you? Lava slugs, nightmare bunkers, a chess game, a test of loyalty, and an ending you won't see coming. Oh, and the return of a little-known character called Romana... but what has she been up to? Now that would be telling."

Louise Jameson said: "What I love about this set is the range that it gives Leela. I've really been challenged. What's been explored is Leela's vulnerability. She doesn’t often get to show it - she's always the warrior - so to actually see her confidence knocked is really interesting."

Lalla Ward, who returns to the Gallifrey series for the first time since 2021's Gallifrey: Time War 4, added: "It’s strange enough being back in England, never mind back on Gallifrey! But actors are used to this, and I get back into Romana pretty easily, especially when it's this well written.

"It’s wonderful being back working with Louise - we've had some really good times working together. And from Romana's point of view, it's wonderful being back in the orbit of Leela! They’re an interesting pair of very different people."
