Shocking adventures with the Fifth Doctor

The fabulous Fifth Doctor (Peter Davison) returns today, along with his companion, the young scientific genius Nyssa (Sarah Sutton), for two brand-new audio stories set across the universe of Doctor Who. 

First, the TARDIS lands in 1980s Devon, where the Time Lord discovers an alien entity with a deadly affinity for electricity – and a unique scheme to conquer Earth. The Voltaxa will be familiar to regular Big Finish listeners, as it previously featured in writer Roland Moore’s The Death and Life of River Song: Ace and Tegan – Driftwood. 

Then, the time travellers visit a distant planet, where a primitive people worship an enormous being. Only this myth turns out to be real, and what’s more, there are two colossi, headed for a fight with each other – with the Doctor, Nyssa and the villagers caught in the middle!

The guest cast of Lair of the Voltaxa comprises Beth Goddard (Code of Silence, The Serpent Queen) as Miranda Moss, Wanda Opalinska (Coronation Street) as Ania Laska/Mary McLeod, Clive Hayward as Bill McLeod/Voltaxa, and Alex Stedman as Cameron McLeod. 

And, March of the Colossus guest stars Ken Bones (Run Away, Doctor Who: The Day of the Doctor) as Senidon, Stuart Milligan (Doctor Who: The Impossible Astronaut) as Austus Zebeck/Zebots, Sulin Hasso as Arimyne, and Samuel Clemens as Drendar/Garrus/Colossi.
