For The Love Of StoriesBig Finish produce fantastic full-cast audio dramas for CD and download.

Big Finish Productions’ long-running monthly series of full-cast Torchwood audio dramas follows characters from throughout the universe of the popular Doctor Who spin-off. Story, writers and cast details are revealed today for four upcoming releases, featuring multiple names new to the range.

July’s Art Decadence introduces a new era of Torchwood’s history, the Roaring Twenties, and some brand-new stars in the shape of top agent Sir Reginald Dellafield (Wilf Scolding) and his trusty butler sidekick A. C. Forster (Simon Kane).

In August, Naoko Mori returns to the role of Toshiko Sato for the first time in over a year, in End Game, a story which sees her involved in a simulated apocalypse.

There’s another returning star of the Torchwood TV series in September’s The Hollow Choir. Rhys Williams (Kai Owen) is on a rescue mission, in a script that marks the Big Finish debut of acclaimed horror and science fiction authors Helen Marshall and Malcolm Devlin

And Widdershins, released in October, is the range’s Halloween special. With a script by Guy Adams, it stars Cerith Flinn (Wolfblood) as a man haunted by the Devil – or perhaps by Torchwood.

These Torchwood – Monthly Range stories are each available to pre-order as a collector’s edition single-disc CD (+ download for just £10.99) or as a digital download only (for just £8.99), exclusively here

The four forthcoming audio dramas are:

Art Decadence by Ash Darby, due for release in July

London in the 1920s and Sir Reggie works for Torchwood, saving the world from alien invasions. Really, he relies on the services of his loyal butler while he paints the town red.

But there’s a new sensation in high society – What is the secret of The Serpentine Club and can Forster save his master from it?

End Game by Tom Black, due for release in August

You have been brought to Secure Control Room B to respond to a simulated emergency.

You will be able to issue orders and make real time decisions in a disaster scenario.

Welcome to the end of the world. Shall we begin?

The Hollow Choir by Helen Marshall and Malcolm Devlin, due for release in September

There’s always been something in the caves. Over the years people have gone in and not come out. But that was a long time ago. They’ve been sealed for the best part of a century.

Eight hours ago, something changed. Three students somehow found their way in. Now time’s running out to rescue them. Their one hope is a man called Rhys Williams. Because somehow, he has a map.

Widdershins by Guy Adams, due for release in October

One night long ago, Iain tried to raise the Devil. He walked the wrong way round an ancient stone in the village graveyard. He didn’t think anything would happen, not really.

But something did. Something far worse than the Devil came to Llandyth.

And now, many years later, Iain’s trying to work out what really happened that night. Did Torchwood ruin his life?

Big Finish listeners can save money by buying a six-release Torchwood bundle for just £60 (on CD + download) or £50 (on download) or a twelve-release bundle for just £110 (on CD + download) or £96 (on download).
