It’ll be a Doctor Who Halloween and Christmas

Following the popular 2025 box sets, Big Finish Productions today announced two new collections of Halloween and Christmas-themed full-cast audio drama set across the Doctor Who universe, to be released this October and December. 

The Doctor is no stranger to the scarier corners of the universe. This year’s Halloween box set will feature three different classic-era Doctors, as well as the agents of UNIT, as they face all sorts of terrors, from witch hunts to a figure desperate to break out of a strange mirror. 

Not long after that comes one of the Doctor’s other favourite holidays: Christmas. It’s celebrated throughout Earth’s history, and far into the future as well. But Christmas time always seems to attract danger – thankfully, the Doctor and his friends River Song and Bernice Summerfield are on hand. 

Doctor Who: Halloween - Doctor, Doctor, Doctor and Other Stories and Doctor Who: Christmas - Out of the Dark and Other Stories are now available to pre-order for just £24.99 (download to own) or £35.99 (download to own + collector’s edition CD) each, exclusively from www.bigfinish.com. Please note: the collector’s edition CD box sets are strictly limited to 1,500 copies each and will not be re-pressed. 

This year’s four Halloween-themed stories are: 

Doctor, Doctor, Doctor – a Seventh Doctor adventure by Stewart Pringle and Lauren Mooney
The Song of the Reed Man – a Third Doctor and Jo Jones adventure by Katherine White
Office Space – a UNIT adventure by Georgia Cook and Fio Tretheway
Overworked – a Fifth Doctor and Nyssa adventure by Hannah Kennedy 

The cast of this box set includes Tim Treloar as the Third Doctor, Katy Manning as Jo Jones, Peter Davison as the Fifth Doctor, Sarah Sutton as Nyssa, and Sylvester McCoy as the Seventh Doctor.  

And, the four Christmas adventures are: 

Merry Christmas, Mr Chimbly – a Fifth Doctor, Tegan and Nyssa adventure by John Dorney
From the Realms of Glory – a River Song adventure by Hannah Kennedy 
Out of the Dark – a Seventh Doctor and Ace adventure by Jonathan S Powell
And Tiny Tim, Who Did Not Die – an Eleventh Doctor and Bernice Summerfield adventure by James Goss 

This box set’s cast includes Peter Davison as the Fifth Doctor, Janet Fielding as Tegan, Sarah Sutton as Nyssa, Alex Kingston as River Song, Sylvester McCoy as the Seventh Doctor, Sophie Aldred as Ace, Miles Taylor as the Eleventh Doctor, and Lisa Bowerman as Bernice Summerfield. 

The Seventh Doctor story Out of the Dark also stars Nicholas Briggs as the Cybermen and was featured in a recent Telegraph article which went behind-the-scenes at the story’s studio recording. 

Further cast and story details for both box sets will be released at a later date.
