To tie in with Doctor Who’s Fiftieth Anniversary, the November main range release for 2013 will be a celebratory reunion for the Seventh Doctor, his companion Ace and the members of the Counter-Measures team.
Group Captain Gilmore (Simon Williams), Rachel Jensen (Pamela Salem) and Allison Williams (Karen Gledhill) guest starred in Remembrance of the Daleks in 1988, one of the most popular Seventh Doctor adventures. They have remained fondly remembered ever since, and last year earned their own spin-off audio series Counter-Measures, which has been a great success. Series two of Counter-Measures is out in July.
The November Doctor Who release will bring the team back together with the Doctor (Sylvester McCoy, on TV 1987-89) and Ace (Sophie Aldred, 1987-89) when the Earth is threatened again…
This story will be the final instalment of a mini-series set in 1963 (the year that Doctor Who began). September’s as-yet-untitled story stars Peter Davison as the Fifth Doctor; October’s tale stars Colin Baker as the Sixth Doctor.
It's ten years since Nick Briggs became co-executive producer of Big Finish Productions. His friends and colleagues celebrate this fact in a not entirely serious tribute.
