Big Finish is getting ready to board the plane to LA – and we're excited to be sponsoring a very exciting challenge for any budding costume designers...
Running 12th-14th February at the Marriot Hotel Los Angeles Airport, Gallifrey One is the world’s largest and longest-running annual fan-run Doctor Who convention.
Founded in 1989 by active fans in local Los Angeles science fiction fandom, Gallifrey One Conventions has run an event every year since 1990 and has over time become one of the world’s most popular fan-run themed events devoted to the Doctor Who classic and new television series, and its spinoffs, Torchwood, The Sarah Jane Adventures and Class.
This year, Big Finish is represented by our Executive Producer and Chairman Jason Haigh-Ellery and general manager Sue Cowley – and on Friday 12th February, we will be supporting a frenetic cos-play challenge to put the Great British Sewing Bee to shame!
With the materials and equipment provided, the Iron Costumer challenges two teams of designers to work together to create a costume for a mystery character to revealed on the day! It's the perfect chance to go wild and show your inventive flair – and be in the running for some top prizes!
Entrants can sign up for the 2016 Iron Costumer challenge at the convention's Masquerade table from 9am on Friday 12th... but be quick, as places are limited!
Big Finish also features in several guest panels across the weekend, featuring Sean Carlsen, India Fisher, Simon Guerrier, Andy Lane, Chase Masterson, Ian McNeice and Jason Haigh-Ellery – who will be bringing some very exciting news with him!
