Details for the first story in next June's Doctor Who - The First Doctor Companion Chronicles set are now online...
In June 2017, Big Finish release their latest collection of Doctor Who - Companion Chronicles with Doctor Who - The Companion Chronicles: The First Doctor Volume 2. The first story in this set has now been recorded with Maureen O'Brien reprising her role as Vicki, alongside Robert Hands (Doctor Who - The Empty Child) as Lagrange in Doctor Who - Fields of Terror, written by John Pritchard (author of this year's The Mouthless Dead):
The TARDIS has brought the Doctor back to Revolutionary France, a place that's always fascinated him. But this time he, along with Steven and Vicki, are drawn into a devastated land, caught between the soldiers who are burning all before them and a monstrous shape that follows in their wake.
Says producer Ian Atkins: "As I speak, we've just signed off on the last of the four scripts, and I'm really excited by the collection of stories we've got for this next set. The reception for the Second Doctor Volume 1 was amazing, and has set a very high bar to reach - which I think we've managed with this. As with last time, I asked John to 'open the batting' as it were, and was intrigued when he suggested a fresh visit for the First Doctor to Revolutionary France. For this is a very different side of events - and there are some very different powers at work..."
Doctor Who - The Companion Chronicles: The First Doctor Volume 2 is released in June next year, and can be pre-ordered now at the pre-release price of £25 on CD and £20 on Download. The first episode from this summer's Second Doctor Volume 1 - Doctor Who - The Mouthless Dead - can be found here.
