Doctor Who – The Kamelion Empire is out now.

Once upon a time, a people of great artistry and great knowledge ruled the planet Mekalion: the Kamille. For a thousand years, they prospered peacefully.

Then came disaster, when their sun set forever. Facing extinction, the Kamille made the Locus, a device to sustain their minds; and fashioned shape-changing machines, to act out their wishes on the physical plane…

Servants they called the Kamelion.

Writer Jonathan Morris told us the origins of his story and why he wanted to discover Kamelion’s past: “Kamelion has always been something of an enigma. Pretty much all we were told about him in the TV series was that he was found by the Master on the planet Xeriphas, ‘the tool of an earlier invader’.

“It’s always seemed a shame that he didn’t get a story revealing his background – which is why it was such a joy for me to write The Kamelion Empire, and develop those six words into a four-part adventure. At last, the truth about Kamelion can be revealed... as well as the answers to some other long-pondered mysteries.”

The Kamelion Empire is available now at £14.99 on CD or £12.99 on download. All CD purchases unlock a download option via the Big Finish app and the Big Finish website.

Coming next in the Doctor Who Main Range, a new trilogy of travels begins for the Seventh Doctor. This time he’s joined by Mags, the punk werewolf circus performer first seen in 1988’s Doctor Who TV episode, The Greatest Show in the Galaxy.

The first of the trilogy, The Monsters of Gokroth, will be released in April 2019 with Jessica Martin reprising her role as Mags alongside Seventh Doctor, Sylvester McCoy.

The people of Gokroth live in fear of the monsters in the forest. Creatures with scales and fur, teeth and claws. But worse than these, perhaps, is the strange doctor who does unspeakable, unholy work in the high castle on the mountain…

A doctor who’s about to receive a visit from an off-worlder. Mags, formerly of the Psychic Circus. A native of the planet Vulpana… with a monstrous secret of her own.
