Stargate SG-1: Excision finds erstwhile archaeologist Daniel Jackson (Michael Shanks) and his friend and colleague Vala Mal Doran (Claudia Black) kidnapped by some rather dodgy former associates of Vala's who want to investigate - and plunder - a very strange object.

Meanwhile, Nyssa (Sarah Sutton) is forced to tell stories to a malevolent Sultan (Alexander Siddig) in order to keep the Doctor (Peter Davison) alive in part one of 1001 Nights.
