Just in case you missed any of them, last week saw the release of three of August's Big Finish titles: Doctor Who: Starlight Robbery, Doctor Who - The Companion Chronicles: The Alchemists and Blake's 7 - The Liberator Chronicles: Volume 5.
It's a busy month for Big Finish despite the team all being on holiday at some point, and the opening August salvo is out now.
Doctor Who: Starlight Robbery is the second part of a trilogy of tales starring Sylvester McCoy, Tracey Childs and Christian Edwards as the Seventh Doctor, Klein and Will Arrowsmith, and it finds them going undercover in an attempt to stop black marketeer Garundel (returning guest star Stuart Milligan, last seen in Black and White) from selling the Persuasion device into the wrong hands. Needless to say, their mission is somewhat fraught with dangers, not least from the Sontarans (Dan Starkey).
Doctor Who - The Companion Chronicles: The Alchemists takes a look back to the early travels of the First Doctor and Susan (played one more by Carole Ann Ford), as the TARDIS arrives at a turning point in German history and the intrepid Gallifreyans must fight to preserve their lives with danger all around...
Blake's 7 - The Liberator Chronicles: Volume 5 takes us back on board the Liberator for three brand new adventures, starring original series stars Gareth Thomas, Paul Darrow, Sally Knyvette and Jacqueline Pearce, plus guest stars Joseph Kloska and Louise 'Leela' Jameson. Dark, sinister tales of the Federation and Blake's fight against it, it's a chance to get even deeper into the lives and minds of these characters.
All these titles are available to buy now on CD and download, and if you order the CD through the website, you'll get a free download of the story when you purchase. Other August releases will follow soon...
Nick and Benji open up all the delights of Big Finish's world of audio drama (including Doctor Who, of course!). Behind-the-scenes: Jeremiah Bourne in Time (a Big Finish Original). Drama Tease: The First Doctor Volume 2 (starring David Bradley).
