Subscribers to Doctor Who's main range Big Finish titles have always had access to some additional materials...
"Subscribers get more at Big Finish..."
On top of a special price for six or twelve stories, website subscribers to Big Finish's main range of Doctor Who titles have long been eligible for other exclusives, such as PDF format scripts and extended interview extras as MP3 downloads.
On top of this are the Doctor Who Subscriber Short Trips: exclusive readings of Doctor Who short stories written by Big Finish authors and brought to life by actors from our many ranges.
We've recently re-worked the past years of these releases from when they started in late 2009, commissioning brand new stories and readings to fill gaps so that four per year are available along with the Doctor Who main range releases for each March, June, September and December. A January recording session will fill the remaining slots as well as have next March and June's stories ready for release.
This weekend we also put the 2014 titles up in time for people to enjoy a short story or two over Christmas, with three of them read by Counter Measures' Sir Toby Kinsella himself, Hugh Ross (pictured):
Waiting for Gadot by John Dorney
The Piltdown Men by Dale Smith
Late Night Shopping by Matt Fitton
A Home From Home by Nick Wallace
A Home From Home was read by Stephen Critchlow (Doctor Who - The Early Adventures: An Ordinary Life, Doctor Who - The Lady of Mercia and Doctor Who - The Nowhere Place), who also brought some of the other new stories to life. To see a complete list, click here.
It's an exciting time to make the most of a Big Finish Doctor Who subscription, especially with both the recently announced return for the Doctor to E-Space as the Fifth Doctor, Nyssa, Tegan and Turlough encounter Mistfall in January, and then from April the Seventh, then Sixth, then Fifth Doctors find themselves in the shoes of their younger selves in Doctor Who - The Defectors, Doctor Who - Last of the Cybermen, and Doctor Who - The Secret History (Big Finish's 200th main range release!).
