Alexander Vlahos is back narrating three ‘lost’ stories from the Big Finish Dorian Gray range.
Inspired by Oscar Wilde's classic story of hedonism and corruption, The Confessions of Dorian Gray imagines a world where Dorian Gray was real and his friendship with Oscar Wilde spawned the notorious novel. Five series were created from 2012–16, and now Big Finish is delighted to welcome Dorian back in three brand-new readings of unmade stories in Dorian Gray: The Lost Confessions.
All three adventures are based on previously un-made scripts written by Scott Handcock and adapted by Scott Harrison. Each one takes Dorian from the darkest parts of Earth’s history past the reaches of human understanding, far far beyond our time…
1. Last Man Standing
After being dispatched on a top-secret mission with his comrade, Jonathan Roberts, Captain Gray finds himself lost in the wastes of No Man’s Land searching for a concealed German outpost. As both men venture further from the trenches, they soon discover forces greater than king and country.
2. There Are Such Things…
Father Victor Merriman is confused when a bedraggled young man locks him inside his own church on a dark and stormy night. The man claims not to be locking them in, but rather to be locking something out: something that has haunted Dorian Gray for over a year now, ever since the engagement of Milly Lloyd.
3. The Last Confession
Since his experience at the Brigadoon Hotel, Dorian Gray struggles to come to terms with having a soul; and worse, having lost his soulmate. Travelling the world, he hopes to lay some demons to rest… and perhaps even confront the biggest one of all?
Dorian Gray: The Lost Confessions is available now on download at £9.99 from the Big Finish website.
And if you’d like to listen to the classic tale, The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde, why not get Big Finish’s adaptation dramatised for audio by David Llewellyn, starring Alexander Vlahos, Miles Richardson and Marcus Hutton.
When Dorian Gray, a handsome young man about town, makes this wish, he can hardly guess that it will mark the beginning of a life of hedonism and debauchery.
Soon enough, his webs of deception and deceit catch innocent victims, some of them his closest friends, and the only evidence of his misdeeds is a long-forgotten portrait in his attic…
