For The Love Of StoriesBig Finish produce fantastic full-cast audio dramas for CD and download.

Originally presented in association with The Sci-Fi Channel UK (now SyFy Channel) and subsequently broadcast on BBC Radio 4 Extra (formerly BBC7), these critically acclaimed adventures comprise the full-cast Blake's 7: The Audio Adventures in three epic stories – Rebel, Traitor and Liberator and the entire Blake's 7: The Early Years range, exploring formative incidents in the lives of the key characters. This collection comes complete with a new behind-the-scenes documentary and digital booklet.

Rebel, Traitor and Liberator follow Blake’s incarceration, the forging of his legendary crew and their capture of a mysterious alien spacecraft. On the run from the Federation, the crew of the Liberator fight back against a totalitarian regime personified by the manipulative Servalan and her loyal commander, Travis.

In this radical re-interpretation of Terry Nation’s original series, Derek Riddell (No Angels, Doctor Who) heads an all-new cast as the eponymous rebel leader, Roj Blake. Colin Salmon (Arrow, James Bond, Alien vs Predator) assumes the iconic role of Kerr Avon, with Daniela Nardini (This Life) as the rebels’ arch-nemesis, Supreme Commander Servalan.

Other cast members include Craig Kelly (Queer as Folk, Coronation Street), Carrie Dobro (Babylon 5), Michael Praed (Robin of Sherwood), Doug Bradley (Hellraiser) and India Fisher (Big Finish Doctor Who).

Written by science fiction luminaries Ben Aaronovitch (Rivers of London), Marc Platt (Doctor Who) and James Swallow (Warhammer 40,000), these three epic stories are presented alongside the eight Early Years prequel adventures.

Covering the escapades of Avon, Jenna, Cally, Vila, Gan and Zen before they joined Blake’s rebellion and a pivotal moment in Commander Travis’s life, the Early Years series reintroduced the original cast and added many other impressive names to the world of Blake’s 7 on audio.

With adventures written by Simon Guerrier (Doctor Who), Ben Aaronovitch, James Swallow and Marc Platt, the Early Years prequels feature Colin Salmon, Craig Kelly, Carrie Dobro, Owen Aaronovitch and Alistair Lock reprising their roles as Avon, Travis, Jenna, Gan and Zen.

They are joined by special guest stars Jan Chappell and Michael Keating (Cally and Vila in the original Blake’s 7 television series), Benedict Cumberbatch (Sherlock, Star Trek Into Darkness), Keeley Hawes (Spooks, Ashes to Ashes), Zoe Tapper (Survivors, Mr. Selfridge), Tracy-Ann Oberman (Eastenders, Doctor Who) and Geoffrey Palmer (James Bond, As Time Goes By).

B7 Media Executive Producer, Andrew Mark Sewell: “With many of these epic stories no longer available, and with such a bumper year of Blake’s 7 activity ahead, it seemed the perfect opportunity to revisit and celebrate these audio adventures in a complete limited edition box set.”

Sewell adds: “We’ve also produced a brand new feature length audio documentary covering the production of the stories and the classic Big Finish audio range; along with a digital booklet that showcases some of the original audio art, gives full cast and crew credits and outlines the plans for the unmade sequels to the original full-cast adventures.”

David Richardson, Big Finish Producer: “B7 Media’s audio reboot of Blake’s 7 boasts an impressive cast along with some epic sound design for these stories, and it felt right to collect them all together in a special edition box set for fans to enjoy. They complement perfectly our range of original-cast audios.”
