Big Finish is making space in its warehouse, and this time there’s no going back! In order to make room for all our exciting new releases, we’re permanently reducing the pricing of some items in the Big Finish back catalogue.
Plenty of stories have had a price reduction just in time to complete your CD collections, or to find a brand new series to get you through the summer (or winter if you live down under!). It’s first-come, first served on the physical copies so make sure you place your order before the stocks run out.
Why not pick up the tales in Destiny of the Doctor? Released in 2013 to celebrate 50 years of Doctor Who, the Destiny of the Doctor range includes a story from each Doctor’s era. Now available on CD at just £2.99 each (where available).
Dorian Gray, starring Alexander Vlahos (currently in Versailles) as the Wildean character brought to reality, has had five series of stories at Big Finish – all now available at a reduced price.
You can also pick up box sets 1–4 of Graceless. Graceless follows Abby and Zara, the two sisters who were tracers in The Key 2 Time trilogy (a Main Range adventure arc with the Fifth Doctor) as they explore the universe.
Assassin turned detective Vienna, played by Chase Masterson (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine), has had three series of unique adventures since originally encountering the Seventh Doctor in Main Range adventure, The Shadow Heart.
Sherlock Holmes, the famous literary detective from the mind of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle has been immortalised here at Big Finish by Nicholas Briggs and the late Roger Llewellyn. Why not pick up literary classics such as The Speckled Band or The Hound of the Baskervilles today.
And if you’re in the mood for an epic fantasy adventure, Pathfinder has three series each with 6 releases for you to immerse yourself into: Rise of the Runelords, Mummy’s Mask and Curse of the Crimson Throne.
All of the ranges listed below now have discounted CDs in them. Have a good look, you may discover a Big Finish release you’d never heard of before!
And do check out the bundles for extra savings on these adventures on CD.
Don’t forget that there are special reductions in some of our other ranges too, including the Doctor Who Main Range. Depending upon availability, you can pick up stories 51–100 at just £6 on CD each. -> https://www.bigfinish.com/news/v/doctor-who-main-range-early-cds-go-digital
On 3 June 2018, we announced that we’d been obliged to re-assess our approach in order to safeguard our ability to continue producing the stories you love. Unless otherwise stated, all future titles from June 2018 with a physical release will remain available to purchase on CD for a minimum of 12 months following the Big Finish website release date (unless otherwise stated on the announcement). At the end of that window, we’ll be reviewing demand and may decide to allow titles to go out of print on CD, but we’ll always make sure any decision to move to digital-only is shared on our website and via social media.
Big Finish has made these changes as a direct reflection of how our listeners are now choosing to acquire new content from us, and on balance, we’d very much prefer to invest in creating brand new stories rather than in stock which could end up gathering dust in our warehouse for a number of years.
In addition, you’re likely to see a few more releases with a strictly limited CD pressing which we will announce in advance. In these cases, we will make it clear from the outset the number of CD copies that will be available.
But we’ll be keeping track to make sure everyone receives the best service.
For example, after an overwhelming demand for the physical version of Class, all CD pre-orders are being guaranteed – so make sure to place a pre-order before its release in August if you want to be sure to get your hands on these adventures on CD.
