For The Love Of StoriesBig Finish produce fantastic full-cast audio dramas for CD and download.

As children, Simon Randall and Liz Skinner discovered the existence of a strange anomaly known only as the Time Barrier. It gave them the chance to travel in time and sometimes elsewhere on Earth, visiting the past and exploring alternative futures.

Now, Liz (Cheryl Burfield) and Simon (Spencer Banks) have been joined in their adventures by new friends, Charlotte Trent (Sarah Sutton) – a biology and life sciences lecturer, Neil Riley (Orlando Gibbs) – a trainee nurse from 1982 and Jade Okafor (Amanda Shodeko) – a history student, also from 1982.

Timeslip: A Life Never Lived is available to pre-order as a collector’s edition CD box set (+ download for just £15.99) or as a digital download only (for just £12.99), exclusively here

Finding themselves in 1914, Simon, Liz, Jade, Neil and Charlotte realise that this isn’t an alternate phase of history. This is really their past and anything they change could have serious repercussions.

While Simon and Neil watch for the barrier to return and Jade tries to ensure Charlotte doesn’t tamper with the past, Liz insists on attending the meeting of local suffragette, Flora Walsh.

When Simon realises the real reason why Liz wants to meet Flora, he’s shocked. Flora is Liz’s great grandmother. And Liz knows she is destined to die the following day.

All Liz wants to do is spend that final day with her.

What’s the harm in that?

Producer David Richardson said: “Timeslip is so much a part of my nostalgic DNA – I adored the television series when I was a child, as much as I loved Doctor Who, and to work with and spend time with Spencer and Cheryl has been an absolute privilege. I feel very lucky to have been in charge of bringing back Timeslip after nearly five decades, and it is great to hear how much people enjoy them – Spencer and Cheryl included!

Timeslip was a sci-fi series for children’s TV, but it told stories in a very adult way. Russell T Davies has since taken the same approach with his brilliant children’s shows. The joy of it is, because the scripts are so sophisticated, they can they be enjoyed at any time of life. I love the original Timeslip episodes as much as I did when I was seven years old. Probably more so, because I can now appreciate how terrifyingly prescient they were.”

Big Finish listeners can save money by pre-ordering this adventure together in a bundle with August’s The Time of the Tipping Point for just £30 (collector’s edition 2-disc CD box set + download) or £25 (download only).

The previous volumes of Timeslip, The Age of the Death Lottery and The War That Never Was, are also available to purchase together in a money-saving bundle for just £44 (collector’s edition 3-disc CD box set + download) or £38 (download only).

All the above prices include the special pre-order discount and are subject to change after general release.
