The spirit of the Sixties is alive and well at Big Finish Towers this week, with the long-awaited release of The Avengers - Steed and Mrs Peel: The Comic Strip Adaptations Volume 1. Another of Britain's defenders has come to Big Finish this week, with the return of Naoko Mori as Toshiko Sato in Torchwood: Zone 10. The second release in Torchwood Series 2, this new story by David Llewellyn finds Toshiko on her way to Russia for a rendezvous with the KVI – the Russian equivalent of Torchwood.

The release has already been receiving praise from critics, with Planet Mondas calling it 'bleak, intense and intriguing, another fab release'. Download your copy here, or subscribe to the entire series at an additional saving.

But Toshiko wasn't the only Torchwood member in the spotlight this week, as Saturday brought the exciting announcement of Torchwood: Broken, starring John Barrowman as Captain Jack Harkness and Gareth David-Lloyd as Ianto Jones.

Written by television episode writer Joseph Lidster, this new full-cast story unites the two longterm members of the original Torchwood team, in a story set soon after the events of Cyberwoman. Find all the details on this July 2016 release here.

Adapted by Marc Platt and starring Tom Baker and Louise Jameson as the Fourth Doctor and Leela, with Jon Culshaw as the villainous DeRosa Janz, this six-part adventure comes with a bonus disc of special features and is due for release in September 2016.
