For The Love Of StoriesBig Finish produce fantastic full-cast audio dramas for CD and download.

Released last month on Download, and earlier this month on CD, Doctor Who - The Novel Adaptations: Cold Fusion has been much praised and discussed. For those who've bought through Big Finish, we're delighted to announce a little bonus - an extended extras download you can get through your log-in on the website (please note this cannot be directly downloaded through the free Big Finish app for Android and iOS).

Perhaps unsurprisingly for such a rip-roaring two Doctors story, the reviews have been hugely positive. Edition Online observed, "...director Jamie Anderson does a sterling job of slowly drawing together the dangling plot threads - and no review of Cold Fusion would be complete without mentioning Fool Circle Productions and their gorgeous sound design and music which perfectly evokes Doctor Who in the early 1980s."

On the set's three-disc content, Cultbox pointed out, "While a novel is the ideal place to accommodate such a fulsome cast of regulars, an audio play might feel cramped, so we were thrilled to see the story granted six episodes".

"...We get a classic Fifth Doctor story," judges Sci-Fi Bulletin, "In which he wanders around until he finds trouble as well as a classic Seventh Doctor story where he’s clearly eighteen steps ahead of everyone else and causing some of the trouble. Both Davison and McCoy are on typically great form but, honestly, this is a story that puts its extensive companion roster in the spotlight."

As We Are Cult points out, "When McCoy’s Doctor meets Adric, the script wisely underplays the moment, but a tangible sense of regret comes through in McCoy’s performance, highlighting that for all his cleverness the Doctor himself is no stranger to consequences."

Mass Movement sums it up: "If you like your cakes with cherries on top, then go and buy this one. You’ll thoroughly enjoy it."

Doctor Who - The Novel Adaptations: Cold Fusion, starring Peter Davison and Sylvester McCoy, can be bought for £14.99 on Download and £16.99 for the 3-CD set. Any purchase unlocks not only a download version in your account, but also the new extended extras.

Money-saving Bundles for the Doctor Who - Novel Adaptations range can be found here, including all 11 for £120 on Download, £137.50 on CD, or 1-6 for £65/£75, or 7-11 for £55/£62.50.

Peter Davison is back as the Doctor in February's Doctor Who - The Contingency Club, alongside Janet Fielding, Sarah Sutton and Matthew Waterhouse.
