At the time of writing we’re celebrating the return of the Eighth Doctor with a special offer. On Tuesday Big Finish announced that the Eighth Doctor, Liv and Helen would all return in Ravenous, with the first series out in April 2018.

In the epic finale of Doom Coalition, the Doctor lost one of his companions. Helen Sinclair, an academic from 1960s England, was left trapped in time and space with the Eleven, a mad, homicidal Time Lord retaining the personalities of his previous multiple regenerations.

Now, the Eighth Doctor joined by Liv must hunt through time and space on two missions: to find their fallen companion and friend Helen, and to stop the Eleven by any means. But Helen isn’t the same person she was since we last saw her…

On Monday we looked at the return of River in The Diary of River Song series three. Former assassin, archaeologist, time-traveller and the Doctor’s wife, River Song (played by Alex Kingston) will confront her past in the third chapter of her solo series. Joining her is Peter Davison as the Fifth Doctor, helping River face off against the most evil midwife in Doctor Who history, Madame Kovarian (Frances Barber).

Wednesday saw the release of Blake’s 7: Crossfire part 2. Set during the third series of the cult television show, the adventures of Blake’s 7 continue on audio at Big Finish. Four new adventures pit the Liberator crew against a Federation in crisis…

Fans of the Russell T Davies era of Doctor Who will enjoy Thursday’s news, as there is a treat of a box set in March this year. Set in the worlds glimpsed in the Doctor Who TV episodes The End of the World, New Earth and Gridlock, Tales From New Earth follows Devon Pryce as he further explores New Earth and encounters some familiar and not so familiar faces.

On Saturday we revealed the final details of the upcoming Torchwood monthly tales. Torchwood’s monthly releases begin again on March 2017, with The Death of Captain Jack, and they don’t stop there!

In the Big Finish podcast, Nick and Benji have an interview with Louise Jameson, where they talk the return of the Voc Robots, and a first snippet of Doctor Who: Kingdom of Lies.
